The playful Bit collection is growing in all the right ways to accommodate our modern lifestyles with the addition of the Bit Lounge Chair, Bit Barstool, Bit Side Table, and Bit Coffee Table. Sharing the same pixelated look and minimal lines as their predecessors, the new members of the indoor/outdoor furniture family designed by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen are out to change conventional thinking. And they’re ready for a long life ahead, thanks to being made from durable recycled materials.
The Bit Lounge Chair is the brand’s take on a classic that never goes out of style, providing a comfortable seat in its own vision. For an updated version of bar seating, check out the Bit Barstool. Available in heights of 65 cm or 75 cm, either will add a twist to entertaining while resembling an oversized chess piece. Effortlessly complement existing spaces with the Bit Side Table and Bit Coffee Table for that final touch. Fine craftsmanship, functionality, and endurance all but guarantee that the Bit collection will surpass your expectations.
The original pieces and the new additions are designed for use in both commercial and residential settings, from busy cafés to hotel lobbies and patios to living rooms. With availability in a White/White or Black terrazzo-like appearance, Bit manages to add a sophisticated touch to any setting while withstanding temperatures ranging from -10°C to +50°C. And you can throw away any worries about chairs and tables being overturned by the wind – this furniture is weighty enough to handle it.
Using 85% to 95% industrial and household plastic waste, the materials are melted together to a 120°C melting point. The rotational molding technique that Normann Copenhagen uses to manufacture the Bit collection allows for a circular lifecycle, where repeated reheating and reuse of these very same fragments is possible without lowering the quality of the material.
